Offered alongside the V4 VFR750F, from 1987 came the all-new sports duo models of CBR600F and CBR1000F.
With triple disc brakes, pro-link rear suspension, styling influenced by European trends of the time with the fully enclosed bodywork and high performance, the all-new CBR range became an instant success.
The CBR600F was a strong lightweight sports handling bike and became the subject of many racer conversions with regular track successes.
The CBR1000F was the choice for long distance sports riding rapidly eating up miles on long fast trips.
For some countries CBR400F, CBR500F and CBR750F versions were also offered.
This 1980s/90s range of CBR's were titled 'Hurricane' and 'Aero' in selected markets.

Entering & Winning the TT with a CBR600F...
Whilst owner of The Bike Studio, my Honda dealership in North London, we entered a stock CBR600F with Scottish rider Brian Morrison in the 1988 IOM TT Production-C race and of course Brian didn't let us down with a 1st place victory!
