Welcome to Honda Classics Restoration Services, a UK business established in July 2012 to provide early Honda motorcycle information, parts, tools, manuals plus assistance and restoration services.
You have landed on our website launched in December 2020 where we are continuing to add further information to the various sections of this site and additional stock to our web Store.
This business was founded by Roger Etcell (Ex Head of Motorcycles at Honda UK) and due to his retirement, the business has moved (June 2024) to become part of the successful and ever growing GB Automotive Products Ltd company. Roger continues to provide part-time consultancy services to GB Automotive Products with the aim of helping to further develop the Honda Classics Restoration Services business and website.
The workshop restoration side of the business has moved to East Yorkshire where experienced motorcycle engineer David Pettinger will continue with early Honda restoration and servicing projects. To contact David please see our Restoration page.
We remain solely interested in the history, preservation and restoration of classic Honda motorcycles and offer this service to help owners preserve and enjoy the iconic Honda classics of the five decades (1950s to 1990s) that witnessed some of the most advanced motorcycle production engineering achievements.
Many early Honda motorcycles have been restored in our workshops (see Restoration page) and via our Store we offer a range of bespoke specialist workshop tools plus literature as well as new genuine and quality aftermarket parts. We also reproduce obsolete parts. All exclusively for period Honda motorcycles.
We will add new products in our Store weekly but do email with any special requests as we like a challenge for those hard to find Honda parts! Let us know the model/year with full frame/engine numbers. In addition, our long-term eBay Shop continues.
To date, we have shipped over 75,000 products to customers across the UK and over 60 other countries worldwide.
In addition, we continue to build this unique one-stop online facility for historic and technical information plus helpful data in the Technical section of this website.
Roger worked for Honda dealers as well as Honda UK Head Office and established his own Honda dealership all during the 1970s, 80s and 90s and having ridden Honda bikes for over 50-years, the above period of Honda models are very familiar to him.
On our Restoration page, you will find examples of our workshop work and some 'Handy tips to classic motorcycle restoration' which may help when starting a new project?
There is also our Customers Honda page where we show photos of your home projects for interest and information.
Our aim is to help keep Honda models of period complete, on-show, in-use, and to be enjoyed by... 'all the nicest people you meet on a Honda'. From the world-famous Honda Super Cub commuter to the companies many lightweights, trials, tourers and cruisers, and their 4 & 6 cylinder superbikes that set the world alight - all the classic Dream machines that today bring us many fond Honda memories.
We hope you will find this website helpful and of interest. Your comments, suggestions, and general enquiries are always welcome via our Contact page or info@honda-classics.co.uk.
